From idea-stage crossroads to a de-risked roadmap

Love Peace Harmony is a global non-profit dedicated to uniting people and communities — building foundations of strength, unity, and a life filled with love, peace, and harmony. They sat at the idea stage of a major decision: a new member platform to reflect their new proposition, but facing a classic non-technical hurdle. They knew their business goals inside out yet couldn't judge the technical build — and needed a trusted partner to figure out exactly what to build, what it would cost, and how to reach a working first version quickly, without risking budget on the wrong product.

Case study — Mapwhizz

Rescuing a stalled launch

The client had a great business proposition but was trapped in development hell. They'd picked a partner who simply couldn't deliver a working product. The project was heavily overpaid — several times the original budget — communication had broken down, and both the backend and frontend codebases were a mess, buried under technical debt before the product could even launch. Stuck with an unreleased, broken system and walking away not an option, they needed a partner to tell them the truth, cut through the chaos, and salvage a path to market — without an immediate, budget-destroying total overhaul.

Diagnosis — an honest audit

We audited both sides of the application to see what was salvageable. Instead of a massive ground-up rewrite that would kill the budget and delay launch indefinitely, the straight recommendation: patch and stabilise the critical backend core just enough to ship, while completely replacing the broken user layer.

Stabilization

We decoupled the system — isolating and stabilising the core backend logic, cutting through the worst of the code debt — and built a brand-new frontend from scratch. This bypassed the previous vendor's bottlenecks, resolved the deadlock, and pushed the product past the finish line into production.

Scale, when ready

The product is now live, stable, and serving users. Because stabilisation got the business moving first, the client avoided a huge upfront money pit. With it in production, we've moved into the planned next phase: building a robust new backend from scratch to replace the legacy mess and handle long-term scale.

The outcome

The client went from being burned by a shop and stuck with an undelivered, messy build to holding a stable, live production product that's actively in the market. By engineering a new frontend first and phasing the backend rebuild into the scale stage, we provided a clear way out of the trap — saving their launch, protecting their budget, and setting them up for high-growth scale.
